Thrifting
Today I had so much fun thrifting. My mom and I went together. I scored a few pretty dresses and a fantastic coat. I am in love with one dress. I estimate it to be from the 60's and it has little Dalmations as the print. I need to put pictures up. I wanted to tonight but, I work early tomorrow and I am exhausted from all the shopping I did. I can barely close my trunk from the last couple weeks of good finds and I can barely keep my eyes open. I must get to bed. Goodnight.

Having a Sunburn Isn't Fun
Last Monday I didn't have to work until 4:30, I realized it'd be a great opportunity to make it my first beach day of the year. Once I got down to the sand it was perfect. Stupid me, I decided that I would put some sunscreen on later. Well, later went by and I forgot. I went to work as a lobster. I have been babying my sunburned body this entire week and it's still red hot and itchy.
I've been wanting to put pictures up of some of my favorite outfits but, they are on hold until I'm less crimson.
An update on my home projects; they are coming along slowly but surely. I will be putting some pictures of my "new" room soon.
In the mean time, here are some new items I have added to my Etsy store.

Under Construction
First, it started with the home studio and now it's moved onto so much more. Right now we are working on our bedroom. We've painted it red, and are putting in a light colored laminate flooring and new closet doors. I can't wait for it to be finished. Once we are done I will be posting some pictures. After our bedroom we'll be moving onto the office. I can't wait until it's all finished, life can go back to "normal".

Project: Preparing My Home Studio (End to Beginning)
Last year, I decided that I wanted to start selling vintage clothing online and off I went shopping. As I shopped and shopped I started to run out of room for everything. Then the idea of taking one of our rooms and converting it into my vintage closet/studio came about. Here are some pictures of my challenge.
Step one: Remove the old carpet.
Step two: Remove all the staples from the old carpet.
Step three: Primer all the walls.
Step four: Paint all the walls.
Step five: Paint all base boards.
Step six: Sand Plywood floor. Why would I do that? Because I got the crazy idea to paint the subfloor!
Step seven: Putty all of the cracks in the floor.
Step eight: Sand the floor again.
Step nine: Primer the floor.
Step ten: Paint the floor black.
Step eleven: Repeat step ten.
Step twelve: Apply polyurethane as a top coat.
Step thirteen: Repeat step twelve.
Step fourteen: Let all the paint set.
Step fifteen: Organize the closet and set up the rolling rack.
Step sixteen: Set up background and lighting.
Step seventeen: Test lighting.
Step eighteen: Take pictures.
Step twenty: Pat yourself on the back and post auctions on eBay.
