My Little Sweetheart Pepper

I couldn't resist taking these photos of my little pup Pepper. She's actually full grown but, she's still as tiny as a puppy:) I love her wild hair and her huge bat-like ears!

Forever Sweetheart Contest - Chictopia

As I was getting ready to enter this outfit into my Chictopia. I came across there Forever Sweetheart Contest and decided I should enter this outfit. So here is my entry:)
Self Portrait.

Playsuit: Vintage, thrifted and then altered.
Shoes: Vintage, purchased at a thrift store for only $3.00.
Socks: Macy's, Pink lace trouser socks I folded over.
Umbrella: Vintage, thrifted

Playing around in an altered playsuit. Believe it or not this little jumper had long pants. I gave it one look and I just knew it need to be altered into shorts! I think it came out darling. In fact, too darling. I wanted to sell it on Etsy but, I have fallen in love with it and can not do it yet.

Photography Update

Lately, I have been working on building a photography portfolio. I am becoming very passionate about photography and I am more and more inspired by vintage clothing for my photo shoots. These photos were taken earlier today in my dining room. Yep, I have a couch in my dining room.

I have several more pictures that I need to add to my blog. One set includes an adorable playsuit, that I altered this week. I had planned to sell it on Etsy but, once I put it on, I think I have decided I can't part with it yet. I did do a self portrait photoshoot in it and I will be posting some of those photos soon.

For now, here are a few of Model Mayhem's lovely model and mommy of one, Britagne!

Blogger Discount

Letting go of a favorite dress is always difficult. But, I would always prefer someone else to have the joy of wearing it too so, it makes it so much easier. Yep, one of these is a favorite of mine. I LOVE the solid black wiggle dress. It's very flattering, sophisticated and classy. Who ever purchases it, I would love to see a picture of them wearing it.

In fact, I have been thinking that I would love to see any of the clothing I sell, worn by the buyer. I think it would be fantastic to see how they've styled it. I think I will put a note somewhere on my Etsy store explaining that any buyer's are welcome to send me a photo of them, so I can post it on my blog of them wearing what they've purchased from my shop. I think it'd be so much fun.

Also, I have decided to give a Valentine's Day discount to Blogger's Only. Either of these two dresses I will discount $5.00 off each of them, just send me a convo through Etsy that you saw this discount through my blog. I will make the price adjustment for you. This offer will be good on each of these dresses until Valentine's Day or while they last. If there is another dress that you love I might make an exception and give you the discount on it too. So, have a look:)

What will you be wearing for Valentine's Day? Today, I am going to start my shopping for the perfect Valentine's Day dress. Wish me luck:)

Locks For Love and a Vintage Hawaiian Dress

Last week my friend Danielle called me, to tell me that she was considering a new look for the new year. She had decided that she wanted to cut many inches off of her long Rapunzel locks.

When she came over, I told her that we could donate her hair to "Locks For Love", if she was willing to sacrifice the minimum amount of 10 inches. She decided that she'd love to donate her hair to someone else. So we pulled her hair into a ponytail, measured 10 inches and snipped it off.

After we snipped off the 10 inch ponytail, I gave her a long layered haircut and straightened her curly hair. She looked beautiful with her new look and in exchange of money. I suggested that she could model a dress I had been planning to sell on Etsy. I selected this brightly colored dress for her because I felt she did such a great thing. The dress needed to offer the same cheery mood we were in.

So, here is her new look and the dress she modeled:)
