Outfit Post Dec. 30th
Dress: Vintage 90's Dress, Thrifted
Stockings: Betsey Johnson, eBay
Shoes: Vintage 80's Boots, Thrifted
Here is a rarity on my blog but, I do hope to have more of these in the upcoming year. It's an outfit post! This was the outfit I was wearing yesterday while I took some photos of my friend. We had a great day taking photos of each other. She proved to be a much better photographer than she thought. This spot had such a beautiful filter of light through the trees that I knew I would love how it looked. So, I sat against the fence and had a beautiful moment of peace.

Pretty Marci
Friday, a fabulous photographer and photoshop whiz and friend of mine, was kind enough to take the time to show me a few photo enhancing tips and tricks using photoshop. As he was showing me, I was worried, I wouldn't catch on to any of his teachings. He is a good teacher but, he took me through a photo from start to finish and there was hours of steps. Surprisingly, I think I retained more information that I thought. Here is one of the first pictures I have worked on with my new skills. Plenty more to come:)

Faux Hollywood Hills
Yesterday, my friend Jenny called me to come help her put together a pub table and stools for her kitchen. I went over there and we first started with the table. That was simple but, the stools were much more challenging. It took us a while to get those together even after busting out the power tools.
After we cleaned up her kitchen of tools and hung some new curtains. We had about 8 minutes left of day light to run outside and quickly get a few dresses photographed that I will be adding to my Etsy store later today.
These pictures remind me of Hollywood Hills, they are my Faux Hollywood Hills pictures:)
I had to have my friend Jenny model some of these dresses because unfortunately they are TINY! I can not fit into two of them, no matter how much I try.
The second dress pictured is my favorite out of the group and it will fit a small or a medium. It's the only non XS dress of this group.
Later, today I will be doing some more self portraits to get a few more dresses added to the shop.

Brown Jacket From The 70's
I really love this jacket. I kinda hate to part with it but, I don't think I will wear it often. Off it goes to my shop because it needs to be worn and loved by someone.
Black Velvet 80's Dress
Here is the dress from yesterday's photos. I have now added it to my Etsy store. It's such a cute dress I couldn't believe I forgot I had it. And, I had actually never tried it on until yesterday right before photographing it. I think it's a great dress to add to any wardrobe because it really is versatile. It can be easily dressed up or down.
Satsuma Season, YUM!
In an attempt to kill my boredom yesterday, I took more pictures with my bowl of tangerines a.k.a cuties. Now that I am done photographing them, it will be time to devour them and all their juicy goodness!
I was considering making juice out of them but, I have never tried making an orange juice like drink out of anything but, oranges. Have you tried any tangerine juice? How did you like it?

Canceled Photo Shoot Due To Rain, Boo Hoo!
I had a feeling something would happen to cause a cancellation because this was my first "real" photo shoot and I had prepared all week for it. I was so excited I went to bed early last night. Then I woke up to the sound of rain! Usually I love hearing rain because it's not heard very often living in California. But, this morning was not a morning I wanted to awake to the sound of a pitter patter on my roof!
Since, I have been cooped up all morning and disappointed. I decided to mess around with my camera anyways and find something cheery to photograph. I cleaned the kitchen early on today and realized that my bowl of cuties was really charming. I found inspiration in something I hadn't thought of. Here was my 15 minutes of being content. Now, I am back to being bored and I need to think of a new idea.....as they say, back to the drawing board.

Pre shoot for Saturday
I have my first Model Mayhem photo shoot planned for this Saturday. I will be taking pictures of an aspiring model from San Diego. I am really excited and I don't want to disappoint her. So, I want to be prepared. Earlier today, I walked around the location I hope to take pictures at. I took pictures of the areas I would like to go back too.
I am going to have her wear a vintage mustard colored ballgown from the 40's. The model is petite, and has tan skin and dark hair. I think the mustard colored dress will look really pretty against her skin tone and it will contrast nicely with the greens and other yellow colors of background scenery.
Here is a quick glimpse of the locations I have in mind for her photo shoot.
