Ocotillo Wells

Tonight I am leaving to spend the night with my friend Jenny, her bf Loren and his friend Casey, in Ocotillo Wells. Loren just purchased a 5 seat dune buggy and we all are going to be first to break it in. It should be fun! I'll be back tomorrow!

Guilty Pleasure: Marilyn Manson

So, my guilty pleasure is listening to Marilyn Manson. I can't help it, I am drawn to him. I happen to love his style, his music and how eccentric he is.

He will be performing at the San Diego House of Blues August, 22nd and I really want to go. The House of Blues in San Diego is a pretty small venue. Small venues such as the San Diego, House of Blues is much more intimate than a stadium show.

Last year, I went and I had so much fun. I wore these vintage robin's egg blue tights with the cutest black, gray and blue plaid 50's dress. I had really blond hair at the time and curled it all up in a very retro do. I looked nothing like the other concert goer's but, I didn't care.

Fortunately, I survived the moshing but, my shoes and tights didn't. I was thinking of keeping them as a souvenir but then later decided not to. It was quite a struggle to remain close to the front with all of the huge males, in their even more gigantic shoes and chains. It was definitely an experience and it's an experience I want to do all over again.

Now, for my dilemma, I have no one to go with. None of my friends, family or acquaintances feel the same way I feel for Mr. Marilyn Manson. I am thinking about going this year alone but, hope not to. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, I better get to calling around to see if I can find a concert companion. If anyone will be in the San Diego area next month, August 22nd and would like to go, let me know:) hahaha

Here are a couple videos of last year's concert. If you dare to watch it, turn down the volume or mute it. The videos seems to be taken on a hand held camera or cell phone and the sound is terribly distorted.( This is about the same view I had, my arms might even be somewhere in the sea of hands.)

Store Front Dress

I added the dress that's in the image I used for my eBay store front. The funny part is, I didn't add it to eBay. I added it to my Etsy store. In case you don't know what it looks like. Here are some pictures of it.

Yesterday, I went to my bf's mom's house. I brought over three vintage dresses that I thought would look much cuter hemmed. She is going to be hemming them for me and while I gave her two to do, she showed me how to hand stitch a hem and prepared the third dress for me. I took it home and I sewed my first hem tonight. It's not too bad either. Although, I miss estimated the length. I made it an ultra mini dress. I am going to have to call it the Naughty School Girl opps...

If my plans for tomorrow don't get altered then, I am planning on taking some photos of it. I had planned to take pictures to sell it but, I am not sure what store I should put it in. I have been having trouble deciding between Etsy and Ebay. Maybe after I post pictures, I can take an Etsy or Ebay poll. I would love to hear your opinions. I always appreciate feedback:)

Paper Dolls

Today, I was supposed to be going to the beach. I have been in my bathing suit all day long. I really hate waiting for other people. If a plan is made please sick to it or call to cancel. Geez! I guess now I am not going to the beach and I am really bummed for wasting my day. I could have been doing so many things. Well, while I have been waiting, I created this silly image, I call Paper Dolls. The dress will be going in my shop soon. Maybe tonight if I don't hear back from my pal. I want to add the little paper doll tabs but, that may take me awhile to figure out. Especially because of my poor photoshop skills.

New Store Front Picture

Yesterday, I took some pictures of dresses that I will be selling in my eBay store and a few for Etsy. My eBay store has been neglected for months now. All morning I have been cropping and organizing my pictures for eBay. I also really needed a new store front picture. My old one I made sometime last year. It was definitely time for a change. Honestly, the last time I made a new one I tried to upload it and I had forgotten how, so I gave up. I think I had more patience today than the last time because it was very simple.









Coco Cherie Vintage Clothing

I feel so sad when Etsy is down for maintenance.

I was just browsing the forums and my favorite lil ol Etsy went down:( I guess I can wait until tomorrow. Well, earlier in the day I did take some pictures and I did post a few new items. For some reason, I am not very satisfied with how the photos turned out. Today's pictures aren't very artsy but instead to the point.

Oh, and I tested some cutting and knotting techniques on one of my sweethearts old tees. I made it in about 5 minutes. It looks slightly piratesque but, it's still fun and the shirt is really comfortable. I am wearing it to bed.

DIY: Cutout Shirt

I have been picking up my house and cleaning the bathrooms for a couple hours today. On my "break" I decided that this coming week I need a small DIY project.

Yesterday, when I was visiting with my cousin Gabe and his wife Tiffany, he was showing me some band tees. So, I got my sweetheart and I the same style. I was thinking that my bf won't want to match me exactly and it may be cute to make my tee a bit different. Maybe sex it up a little, considering it's a small guys tee.

I think I am going to attempt something similar to this tee. I do need to wash it first and I am worried about washing it after I cut it up. I will feel really bad if I ruin it. I need to find some washing directions before I cut it up. If anyone has any tips, please let me know. Also if anyone has reconstructed some t shirts I would love to see them.

If my finished project works out, I will post some before and after pictures. Wish me luck:)

Besides the dress, I am getting ready to leave to my old hometown. One of my cousin's is visiting from Arizona, Gabe, and I haven't seen him in about 3 years. I am very excited to see him. Unfortunately, he is not here very long and he's mainly here to promote his punk band, Automatic Self Destruct. So, I will only be seeing him today.

Finally Added a Couple Dresses to eBay

One's from the 70's-Early 80's and the other isn't too old, it's just a cute 90's summer dress. Before I put these two on eBay, I was hunting for others in thrift stores today and I found a couple good ones. You'll see them soon.
